Last week we went to Yosemite for three days to partake of fine wines and food at one of the annual Vintners Holiday sessions at the Ahwahnee Hotel. Shortly before we arrived a snowstorm had dropped white fluff onto trees, meadows, and granite valley walls, turning the Park’s scenery into a winter postcard. Outside temperatures near freezing, or well below, and perfectly still air preserved the frosty conditions the whole time we were there.
